NORTHERN SEA ROUTE
Dear Partners and Observers of the NSR Association. The NSRA headed by Artur Chilingarov, Russian Special Presidential Envoy for Cooperation in the Arctic and the Antarctic, will visit the city of Naryan-Mar on November 29 - December 01, 2020.
The NSRA will visit the Nenets Autonomous District (NAD) based on an invitation extended by the Administration of the Nenets Autonomous District - Yury Bezdudny, Governor of the NAD, and by Oleg Belak, Mayor of the city of Naryan-Mar.
It is planned to hold a meeting with Valery Ostapchuk, Director-General of the OJSC Naryan-Mar United Air Group and the "Chisty Gorod" LLC.
The visit's programme includes the following: a possibility of implementation of the NAD's joint projects with the NSRA, representatives of the Arctic Council and the Big Arctic 8 member States in 2021-2023 including issues related to reindeer breeding development. It is planned to hold a meeting with Arcady Khatanzeyskiy, President of the Yasavey Nenets People's Association; to visit a reindeer-breeding team and to hold meetings with the NAD Agricultural Administration and the Heads of the Naryan-Mar Meat-Processing and Packing Plant.
The following will be considered during the visit: practical issues related to certification of American, Canadian and Japanese rescue equipment for the use by the Polar Aviation and the Maritime Transport of the Russian Federation operating at the NSR and its compliance with the Russian standards. Moreover, we will discuss matters related to customs clearing, delivery of equipment and other issues related to joint Russian projects within the framework of the Russian Federation's chairmanship of the Arctic Council that are to be considered in February-March 2021. Due to the pandemic, it has been planned to discuss the Arctic Council's joint projects online.
The total cost of the joint projects of the Russian Federation and the Big Arctic 8 is USD 200 million.

With great pleasure we inform that it is planned to accept territories, which are included into the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation, as the Partners of the NSRA. The Khanty-Mansiisk Autonomous Area, the Komi Republic, the Republic of Karelia and the Magadan Region will become the NSRA's Partners in 2021.
We also hope that OJSC Naryan-Mar United Air Group and the "Chisty Gorod" LLC (the city of Naryan-Mar) will enter the Association after the forthcoming meeting to be held in November-December 2020 in the city of Naryan-Mar.

The NSRA's visiting session to the Nenets Autonomous District will be participated by our Partner - Smart Arctic LLC; Promtech LLC who is the NSRA's Observer and by Ignat Trefilov, a photographer from Arkhangelsk.
