We remind you that the Association Council is preparing the meeting where we will discuss
the current situation after the start of the special operation in Ukraine on February 24, 2022 and its impact on cargo flows on the Northern Sea Route.
We counted on the participation of our foreign partners in the NSRA Council, considering international cooperation in the Arctic important because the President of the Association Arthur Chilingarov is the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for international cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic. NSRA actively participated in NSR international meetings, and we are grateful to the Russian Foreign Ministry, "Arctic Ambassador" Nikolai Korchunov in person for the participation. Now our work will be focused on the development of internal resources for the development of the Arctic infrastructure of our partners from Murmansk to Chukotka, to increase commercial cargo flow along the Northern sea route.
In 2021 cargo flow at the NSR amounted to 35 million tons and together with NSR Administration will inform
our partners about the progress in 2022.
We thank our partner Atomflot company which is having the best icebreaker fleet in the world for the close cooperation, We recently sent our congratulations to the new Atomflot head Leonid Irlitsa. We are greateful to Mustafa Kashka, who has left his position for his active participation in conferences and working meetings of NSRA.
In our work, we will adhere to the combined practice of meetings. These will be online meetings and offline meetings combination. Face-to-face meetings are having special value for NSRA and never be replaced .
We will "post" the exact dates of our meetings on the website in advance. Our conferences will remain an important platform for discussion and plans for the development of the Russian Arctic. The resolutions of NSRA conferences to be sent to the Government of the Russian Federation as usual. Only through joint efforts will we will be able to defend the interests of all our partners.
