An online Conference of the NSR Association was held on April 22. Subject of the Conference: «The Northern Sea Route and the Arctic territories of the Russian Federation. The main lines of development and international cooperation». Welcome remarks of Artur Chilingarov, President of the NSRA, were read out by moderator of the Conference Vladimir Kharlov, Vice-President of the NSRA.

 Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Russian and foreign partners and friends of the NSRA presented 19 reports during the Conference. The Conference's participants commended the reports of Mustafa Kashka, Head of the FSUE Atomflot, Andrey Novikov from the NSR Administration, Semyon Korkin,  Head,  Department of Maritime and River Transport, Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), Vasiliy Bogoyavlenskiy, Deputy Director,  Oil and Gas Institute under the Russian Academy of Sciences. Moreover, the Conference's participants expressed appreciation of the reports of the Association's new partners: Alexey Strelchenko, Director General, JSC "Administration for Advanced Technologies", and Mikhail Grigoriev, Member, Scientific Council under the Security Council of the Russian Federation; Director, Gecon LLC.

 The NSRA's Swedish and French partners made quite important and interesting reports. Katarina Gardfeldt, Director General of the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, spoke about 2021-2024 Programme for Swedish Arctic Exploration in cooperation with Russia and Bories Jean Baptiste, Director for Arctic cruises on the NSR, PONANT Cruise Company (France) spoke about Arctic cruises on the NSR in 2021.  

 As per the proposal made by the Conference's participants, a Resolution of the Association's partners adopted based on the outcomes of the Conference will be submitted to the Council for the Arctic and Antarctic under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and to relevant Ministries. Galina Kharlova rendered significant technical and organizational assistance in holding the Conference. The presentations used during the Conference will, by agreement, be published on the NSR Association's website.
