At Cape Zhelaniya, in the Vilkitsky Strait and on the approaches to it, there is an iceberg threat  exists.

Icebreaker support  along the NSR was carried out by the nuclear-powered icebreakers  «Taimyr» and «Yamal» which belong to Rosatomflot company -the NSRA partner . Icebreaking support in the port of Sabetta was carried out by the «Tor» icebreaker (FSUE Rosmorport).
